What Is in the GLOW Peptide Blend?

We publish the breakdown. Most vendors don’t. The GLOW peptide stack is three compounds in one vial, and the ratio is not even.

Component Mass % of blend Mechanism
GHK-Cu 50mg 71% Copper transport · collagen · gene expression
TB-500 10mg 14% Actin sequestration · cell migration
BPC-157 10mg 14% VEGF angiogenesis · nitric oxide
Total 70mg

Read that table again

GLOW is 71% GHK-Cu by mass.

It is routinely described as a three-peptide repair blend, as though the components were balanced. They are not. It is predominantly a copper peptide, with two tissue-repair compounds added at a fraction of the mass.

That is not a criticism of the blend. It is a description of it — and it is one almost nobody publishes. A buyer who does not know the ratio does not know what they are buying.

The Three Mechanisms

The rationale for the combination is that these compounds act at three different points in tissue repair.

GHK-Cu — the substrate

A copper-binding tripeptide (MW 403.93). Copper is a required cofactor for lysyl oxidase, which cross-links collagen and elastin, and for superoxide dismutase. GHK-Cu also has the most striking finding of the three: published profiling reports it modulates roughly 4,048 human genes — about 6% of the genome — concentrated in tissue-repair and antioxidant pathways.

It supplies the raw material and shifts the transcriptional program.

BPC-157 — the supply route

VEGF-mediated angiogenesis and nitric oxide signalling. Builds the vascular supply to a repair site.

TB-500 — the workforce

Full-length Thymosin Beta-4 (MW 4963.44). Actin sequestration, maintaining the free G-actin pool that cells need in order to migrate. Moves repair cells to the site.

Together

Matrix substrate, vascular supply, and cell migration — three distinct stages of the same process. That is the research rationale, and it is why the components are what they are.

⚠️ What This Blend Contains That the Others Don’t: Copper

GHK-Cu carries copper, and copper is not benign in excess.

Copper accumulation is a recognised toxicological concern, and it is the one risk in this blend that is specific rather than generic. And GLOW is 71% GHK-Cu — which means the copper load is higher here, per milligram of blend, than in any other product in this catalog.

This is exactly why the component breakdown matters. A buyer who thinks they are getting an even three-way split does not know how much copper they are handling.

The mechanism that makes GHK-Cu interesting — that it delivers copper — is the same mechanism that makes the quantity question non-trivial.

What the Research Reports

Each component has its own literature. There is no research on this specific three-compound blend. That is worth stating plainly: the combination is a commercial formulation, not a studied intervention.

GHK-Cu — modulation of ~4,048 human genes; increased fibroblast collagen synthesis and glycosaminoglycan production; antioxidant activity via superoxide dismutase; angiogenic activity.

BPC-157 — accelerated tendon repair via the FAK-paxillin pathway (Chang et al., 2011); gastric mucosal protection; VEGF-mediated angiogenesis.

TB-500 — wound closure; cardiomyocyte migration and survival after ischemic injury; corneal epithelial repair.

All findings are preclinical, from studies of the individual compounds. None have completed clinical development.

GLOW Peptide Dosage in the Published Research

The three compounds have three separate literatures and three separate quantities. There is no published research on this blend, and no combined figure exists or could exist.

See the individual product pages for each compound’s literature: GHK-Cu · TB-500 · BPC-157.

CompoundPlug provides no dosing recommendations.

None of the three components is an authorized health product in Canada. None carries a DIN or NPN. None is a controlled substance under the CDSA.

Note: topical cosmetic formulations containing GHK-Cu exist in the consumer market and are regulated separately. CompoundPlug does not supply cosmetic products and makes no cosmetic claims.

CompoundPlug supplies GLOW strictly as a research blend. See Research Use Only.

Reconstitution & Storage

All three compounds are water-soluble and reconstitute together in the same bacteriostatic water. Add slowly down the vial wall, swirl, never vortex.

Note the colour. A reconstituted GLOW solution will be blue — from the copper(II) in GHK-Cu, which is 71% of the blend. This is expected and correct. A colourless GLOW solution would be the anomaly.

Molar calculations must be run per component: GHK-Cu at MW 403.93, BPC-157 at 1419.55, TB-500 at 4963.44. The three molecular weights span more than a factor of twelve. There is no single blend molarity.

Storage: lyophilized and sealed, up to 24 months. Reconstituted, 2–8 °C, 3–4 weeks, protected from light.

Quality & Verification

Independent HPLC and mass-spec testing on all three compounds, published rather than asserted.

A blend is where identity testing earns its keep, because there are three ways to get it wrong instead of one.

Is the GHK-Cu the copper complex (MW 403.93) or free GHK (MW 340.38)? Copper is the mechanism. A purity test cannot tell them apart.

Is the TB-500 full-length Thymosin Beta-4 (MW 4963.44) or the 7-residue fragment (MW ~878)? Five times the mass, same name. A purity test cannot tell them apart.

Mass spectrometry answers both questions, by measuring molecular weight directly. On a three-component blend, it is the only test that confirms all three molecules are present and that they are the right ones.

CompoundPlug supplies the copper complex and full-length Thymosin Beta-4, and publishes the molecular weight of every component. Vials measured by peptide content. Published analysis in the COA Library.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s in the GLOW blend?

GHK-Cu 50mg, TB-500 10mg, and BPC-157 10mg — 70mg total. GHK-Cu is 71% of the blend by mass. It is predominantly a copper peptide, with two tissue-repair compounds added. Most vendors don’t publish the ratio; a buyer who doesn’t know it doesn’t know what they’re buying.

Why these three compounds?

They act at three different points in tissue repair. GHK-Cu supplies copper — a required cofactor for lysyl oxidase, which cross-links collagen — and shifts the transcriptional program. BPC-157 builds the vascular supply through VEGF-mediated angiogenesis. TB-500 moves repair cells to the site through actin sequestration. Matrix substrate, supply route, workforce.

Is there research on the GLOW blend itself?

No. Each component has its own literature, but there is no published research on this specific three-compound combination. It is a commercial formulation, not a studied intervention. That’s worth knowing.

Why is my GLOW solution blue?

Copper(II), from the GHK-Cu — which is 71% of the blend. It’s expected and correct. A colourless GLOW solution would be the anomaly.

Is there a copper concern?

Copper is not benign in excess, and copper accumulation is a recognised toxicological concern. GLOW is 71% GHK-Cu, which means the copper load per milligram of blend is higher here than in any other product in this catalog. This is exactly why the component breakdown matters — a buyer who assumes an even three-way split doesn’t know how much copper they’re handling.

How is GLOW reconstituted?

All three compounds are water-soluble and dissolve together in the same bacteriostatic water. Molar calculations must be run per component — GHK-Cu at 403.93, BPC-157 at 1419.55, TB-500 at 4963.44. The three molecular weights span more than a factor of twelve; there is no single blend molarity.
